Note: Currently, only those supports that have been created as FIXING can be transferred to AVEVA ERM. Supports created as ATTA cannot be transferred to AVEVA ERM as yet.
The workflow for transferring supports is as follows:
-
Configure a filter for supports.
-
Update the status of supports.
-
Publish the supports.
-
Import the supports in AVEVA ERM.
-
Verify the imported data in AVEVA ERM.
-
Provide feedback on data consumption in AVEVA ERM.
-
Process the feedback in AVEVA Marine.
Configure a filter for supports
The Settings dialog box in AVEVA Marine contains the settings to configure a filter for the integration of supports. For more information about the Filter Configuration tab, see Filter Configuration.
The Select for Publish check box column allows you to view the selected information in the PartList Preview. Select the check box for the Supports row and click Save to save the configuration.
Update the status of supports
In AVEVA Marine, a status called 'PublishingStatus' is defined for all part list elements. The status of the supports is modified through the Status Controller. Only approved supports can be published. Therefore, a support must be progressed to Approved before publishing. For more information about the publishing status, see Status Definition.
Publish the supports
Supports satisfying the selection criteria can be exported to AVEVA ERM. The Support tab in the Publish to AVEVA ERM dialog box displays the elements that satisfy the criteria (considering the Type of the Element and Publishing status) in the first grid. The second grid displays a preview of the data that will be published for the selected element.
Select the required supports and click Publish to publish the data to AVEVA ERM. After the supports are published, their publishing status is moved to Published.
If the support contains any structures, the structures are also published.
Import the supports in AVEVA ERM
After the components are published by AVEVA Marine, the components are available for import in AVEVA ERM.
To import the supports in AVEVA ERM, you must process the Update notification for the support. While importing a support with structures, the structures must be imported first. To do this automatically, select the Automatically Picked option on the s14001 Integration Service for both Fabricate and Outfitting concepts.
For information on how to process notifications, see Processing Messages in AVEVA ERM. The import of supports can also be done without the Update notifications, using the s22050 Data Import screen. For more information, see Manual Import of Data in AVEVA ERM.
The information about errors, if any, is displayed in the Audit Summary and Audit Detail grids. When import is completed in AVEVA ERM, the system generates two notifications, Acknowledgement or Error, according to the result of the import.
Verify the imported data in AVEVA ERM
After the support is imported, AVEVA ERM creates or updates the support information accordingly. The supports and structures are updated in the s21015 Fabricate Part Lists screen. The part list items of these supports and structures are updated in the s21000 Part Lists screen.
Provide feedback on data consumption in AVEVA ERM
After the import is completed, the ‘Acknowledgement’ or ‘Error’ notifications are generated according to the result of the import.
Process the feedback in AVEVA Marine
After the import of data is complete, AVEVA ERM sends feedback on data consumption to AVEVA Marine using the notification mechanism. One of the following actions takes place in AVEVA Marine:
-
In case of an ‘Acknowledgement’ notification, the status of the component is promoted to ‘Imported’ if Promote Status is clicked.
-
In case of an ‘Error’ notification, the status of the component is demoted to ‘Rework’ if Demote Status is clicked.
