Import Cables

The Import Cables utility allows you to import cable reference set data as an aid in the design process.

1. Select Utilities > Import Cables, from the main menu bar to display the Import Data window.

   

2. Use the Look in dropdown menu to browse to the location of the file containing the required Cable data. From the list, select the file of cable data to be imported into the design. Select Open.

   The Spreadsheet import window is displayed, from which the imported data can be loaded.

3. Select Cancel to discard any inputs and close the Import Data window.

   

   Each column in the spreadsheet corresponds to an attribute of the cables listed in the Data input for processing. The attributes will be set on a cable to the value given in the selected file.

   Browse	Allows you to browse for the required file.
   Reload Data	Reloads the data.
   Data input for processing	Lists the Cable data for importing in an attribute column format.
   Messages	Shows any relevant messages regarding the import data.
   Load All Data	Loads all the data contained in the file.
   Load New Data	Loads only the new data contained in the file.
   Dismiss	Discards any inputs and closes the Spreadsheet Import window.
