Utilities Toolbar

The Utilities toolbar allows the user to navigate to an element, measure a distance or angle, query the current position of an element, define the axes displayed on elements in the 3D graphical view or if the auto clash facility is switched on or off.

Navigate to Element |
Allows the user to select an element in the design model, the application then automatically navigates to the element in the hierarchy and also identifies the selected element as the CE. The user is prompted to ‘Pick Target Position (Snap) Snap’. |

Measure Distance |
Allows the user to measure the distance between any two points or lines in the design model. The user is prompted to ‘Measure distance start (Snap) Snap:’, the Measure Distance window is displayed. |

Measure Angle |
Allows the user to measure the angle between any two points or lines in the design model. The user is prompted to ‘Measure angle of root angle (Snap) Snap:’, the Measure Angle window is displayed. |

Query Target Position |
Allows the user to query the current position of any selected element in the design model, in terms of world co-ordinates and WRT to World, Ship or Local Positions. The user is prompted to ‘Pick Target Position (Snap) Snap:’, the Query Target Position window is displayed. |

Display Axes on CE |
Allows the user to specify if a co-ordinate system or label is to be used for showing 3D positions in the 3D graphical view. The Define Axes window is displayed. |

Auto Clash |
Allows the user to turn on or off the automatic clash check. |
