Configuring the Destination for Link Documents for Production Output

If no configuration of destination for Link Documents for production output is made, then the links will be stored in the first available Link Documents World (LINKWL).

It is possible to configure the storage destination of Link Documents for production output and control where the Link Document Descriptors (LNDESC) will be stored by defining a ‘Default Home’ (DSXHOM) in Lexicon.

All Link Documents for production output will use the /MarineLinksHome definition if it exists. Under that Default Home definition, each ‘Home Location’ defined (DHTEXT of DSXDST) must be the name of either a Link Documents World or a Link Documents Folder (LNFOLD).

The test expression attribute (DHTEST) of the DSXDST/DSXTST will get the Link Document Descriptor LNDESC element that is about to be created as input to its test.

An example configuration could be:

In the example, all LNDESC for Production parts of type MPLATE will be stored under a LINKWL/LNFOLD named /DefaultMPLATELinks unless their LNKUSE attribute is set to DPRTPL in which case they will be stored under /TemplateLinks. All other LNDESCs will be stored under DefaultLinks.

Details on Default Home Definitions can be found in User Guide Database Management Reference Manual / Bound Attributes / Configuration / Default Home Definition.
