Description:

All Piping Components (including ducting, cable trays and pipe hangers) obtain their geometries from the Catalogue through a Specification. The SPREF (Specification Reference) attribute of these items refers to a Specification Component in a chosen Project Specification that obtains its physical dimensions from the Catalogue. If the SPREF is not set, a Valve, for example, is merely a hierarchical element and has no geometry.

Note: This attribute is usually inserted automatically as a direct result of the CHOOSE (or SELECT) command. It can, however, be set directly to the name of the required Specification Component.
