Changing individual patch options

The options that are set for all patches when building a surface can be set for individual patches, also using the Patch Options dialog.

Change individual patch options

1. Select the patch in question from the Patch ID drop-down list.

   Alternatively, position the cursor over the patch in question in a graphics window.

2. Double click the Left Mouse button, or click the Right Mouse button and select OPTIONS… from the popup menu.

   This launches the Patch Options dialog with the patch in question selected in the Patch ID list.

3. Once the options have been set, select Apply to recalculates the patch geometry.

   This only affects the internal shape of the patch, that means, the shape of the patch boundaries is not changed.

When rebuilding the entire surface ((All Patches) selected in the Patch ID list), options set for individual patches will be lost unless Preserve patch settings on the General page is checked.
