Hydrostatics Dialog

This dialog is used to calculate basic hydrostatic properties of the surface.

Draft — Specifies the vertical distance from the horizontal base plane (z = 0) to the waterplane at midships.

Trim — Specifies slope of the waterplane in terms of the difference in drafts at the AP and FP, that means, Trim = TAP - TFP (so trim by the head is positive).

Shell Thickness — This is used to correct the calculation of displacement when the surface is modelling the moulded form.
Clicking Calculate causes the hydrostatics to be evaluated and displayed in the output window.
Important:
The hydrostatics will not be valid unless the region of the surface below the specified
waterplane is completely enclosed.
