Setting Template Properties and Rules

Although we set the dimensions and relative positions of the Box and NBoxes to specific values to give a meaningful representation in the displayed view, these settings are largely irrelevant for the template. When the template is used in a design application, the dimensions and positions of the primitives will be reset by reference to a set of parameterized rules which adjust the geometry to suit the local circumstances. These rules are defined in terms of the template’s properties, which we will now define.
