Creating a window is essentially the same process as creating a door (refer to Create Door).
-
Click Create > Window on the Select Opening window.

The Create WINDOW window is displayed.

-
Populate the Name, Description, Function, Purpose and Number fields with appropriate values.

-
Selecting Select Window Specification displays the Choose Opening Type window.
-
Selecting any row will display the Window type.

-
Once the required Window has been chosen, clicking Select closes the window and the Window specification is now shown on the Create WINDOW window.

-
Clicking Position allows the user to pick the CTWALL using Element and Cursor from the graphical control window.
Because the CTWALL origin is at the bottom, the VDIST field requires setting to obtain the required vertical distance.

The Positioning section of the Create WINDOW window has the same fields as on the Create Door window (refer to Create Door).

-
Clicking Pick Second Wall to create opening allows the user to place a second window in a different wall.
-
Clicking Discard Changes cancels the changes and closes the Create WINDOW window, returning the user to the Select Opening window.
-
With the Create WINDOW window fully populated with values, clicking Create opening creates a Window.
The Window will appear in the 3D View and the Create WINDOW window will switch to edit mode so that the user can change values if required.
