The following controls are common and are available across all configuration types (CAD, Non CAD and Reports.

Configurations

Name

Configurations can be created for one or more types of objects. The objects supported by the Gateway, in the AVEVA Product being used, will be shown in the drop-down menu. Select the object to be configured the Gateway for by using the drop-down menu.

Location

The user may select an alternative location for the Schematic Gateway to look for configuration files by using the ellipses button next to the Location field.

Logging Options

Log Enabled

The Schematic Gateway can optionally produce a log file for each Publish to AVEVA AIM attempt. If the user wants a Log File to be generated check this box.

Log File

If Logging is enabled the user must provide the location and name of the log file which will be generated by the Schematic Gateway.

Staging Options

Staging Area

A staging area is the location to which the Schematic Gateway will write output. Select your staging area by typing directly into the Staging Area field, or by clicking the ellipses button and navigating to the location of your staging area.

Create Trigger File

The Schematic Gateway can generate a Trigger File at the end of a Publish. This Trigger file is used to indicate that processing has completed. It is in a form recognized by the AVEVA AIM Data Loader, which will automatically begin to load the content of a watched staging area, when a Trigger File is created. You may wish to carry out validation or further processing before loading your data into AVEVA AIM, so the generation of a trigger file is optional.

Restore Defaults

A default set of Schematic Gateway configuration files are included with the Gateway. You may restore these configuration files at anytime by using this button.

Note:
Any changes you have made to the Gateway configuration will be lost if you do this.
