Bridged Holes

In then system, a normal hole is always closed. Whenever a hole is intersected by a seam it is divided and inserted in the boundary of the resulting plate part. In Nesting it is then possible with the help of bridges to "close" the hole.

For bridged holes the designer has a possibility to determine if a hole shall be bridged already in the design phase, in some different situations.

The rules for how the hooks and bridges should be created can be controlled both in the hole statement and as keywords in the default file for hull modelling.

In the Default Hull Modelling File the following keywords are defined BRIDGE_WIDTH, BRIDGE_RADIUS, HOOK_GAP, HOOK_RADIUS.
