There are four well known types of manoeuvring calculations performed by Hydro:

Crash Stop Manoeuvre

determines the stopping distance and time to stop in a simulated crash stop.

Turning Manoeuvre

determines the response characteristics during a simulated turning circle manoeuvre.

Zig Zag Manoeuvre

determines the response characteristics during a simulated zig zag manoeuvre.

Reverse Spiral Manoeuvre

determines the directional stability of the ship.
