The Filter Row

Filtering is applied using facilities provided in the filter row, located under the heading row above the first record row.

The filter row is displayed by default. To add or remove it from a list, use the Column Filtering checkbox in the Grid Options group of the View, or right-click on the list and select the Column Filtering option from the menu that is then displayed.

The format of this row depends on the type of filtering selected for the list.
