SITEs and ZONEs

Before you can create any Equipment, Pipes, Ventilation, we need to create a SITE and a ZONE. These two elements are a way of grouping items in specific areas to allow greater control of the model.

A SITE is owned by the WORLD and the ZONE is owned by the SITE. If we consider the SITE 1DK-AFT-OUTFITS this is the site for the aft section of the ship at 1 deck, this SITE can then hold a number of ZONE elements, these could be the compartments within the aft section on 1 deck that means, ZONE 101C-EQUIP, this would hold all the equipment for zone 101C.
