Materials Dialog

Open the Materials dialog

  • Select the Project Window’s Full View tree’s pop-up menu item MATERIAL...

This dialog is used to set the material characteristics of patches, transverses, longitudinals, decks and compartments altering the way they appear when rendered in a graphics view.

There are two different components Colour and Transparency, each with their own available Shaders, which in turn have associated Properties to set. For each component a single shader is selected. For more information, see Default Color.

The material characteristics of an element can be used as a basis for being applied to other elements. To get a basis material, either (a) click Pick and interactively select the patch in a view or (b) drag the required patch from the tree view and drop it on the Pick button. The Default button is used to reset the dialog’s settings to the defaults.

On clicking Apply the current settings are applied to the currently selected elements in the tree.
