Purpose: |
When the system is waiting for the user to indicate a segment (line or arc), it is possible to define a virtual segment by clicking Virtual Mode followed by the definition mode of that segment. Example: The user is about to define a midpoint of a segment and the system asks the user to indicate a segment. At this stage, the user can click Virtual Mode followed by one of the definition modes in the Geometry Line or Geometry Arc toolbars, in order to define a virtual segment from where the midpoint is derived. For instance, instead of indicating an existing segment, the user wants to define a virtual segment defined as a line between two points. They then click Virtual segment followed by the Line: Two points button in the Geometry Line toolbar. The system will now let the user define this line and use the midpoint from that one. |
