Edit Welds

It is possible to edit some of the data calculated by the Detect Weld functions, as well as user defined attributes defined for weld joints and welds. The function is selectable from a menu displayed at a right mouse-button click on the selected Assembly node.

When Edit welds… has been selected the Edit Weld Properties window is displayed:

The presented information for joints is (editable fields marked with [E]):

  • Joint name

  • [E] Joint comment

  • Welded part 1

  • Welded part 2

  • Weld names of the joint

  • Type of weld

  • Total weld length for joint

  • [E] The UDAs defined for MWLDJT

Click the Weld for Joints tab to display it. For example:

The information, for welds, presented is (editable fields marked with [E]):

  • Weld name

  • [E] Weld comment

  • [E] Weld position

  • [E] Weld leg length

  • Weld length

  • [E] Number of weld layers

  • [E] Process

  • [E] Weld standard process

  • [E] Welding test procedure

  • Bevel of welded part 1

  • Thickness of welded part 1

  • Bevel of welded part 2

  • Thickness of welded part 2

  • [E] Start suspension

  • [E] End suspension

  • Connection angle

  • [E] The UDAs defined for MWELD

When selecting a weld joint/weld in the window:

  • The selected item will be set as current element and if the selected item is a weld joint it will be highlighted in the 3D canvas.

  • If the weld table is drawn in the current drawing the selected weld joint/weld is highlighted in the drawing.
