Profiles in Plane Panels

When plane panels are modelled in Planar Hull Modelling or Structural Design the profiles are treated as three different component types, each of them best suited to the way the profile is modelled in a certain use.

The different component types for profiles on plane panels are:

• stiffeners

• flanges

• pillars

These type of parts will be further described below.
