Turning Manoeuvre

This module performs the turning manoeuvre at different rudder angles up to 35 degrees port or starboard, positive for starboard rudder and negative for port rudder. The following differences arise between the two ship types:

Merchant

Shallow or deep water.

Conventional rudder type only.

Naval

Deep water only.

Choice of conventional, Becker or Schilling rudders.

Maximum turning time is 6000 seconds. You must choose a speed as well as rudder angle to ensure that the turning simulation time is less than 6000 seconds.
