User Interface

The main parts of the Tags User Interface are:

  • The Title Bar of the module window: this displays the code of the current project.

  • Project menu: accessed from the AVEVA logo button to the left of the tags, this menu provides access a number of key commands and facilities. See Project Menu for further information.

  • Tabs: most commands, facilities and utilities of the Tags module are accessed from a number of tabs. See Tabs Overview for further information.

  • Quick Access Toolbar: options on the tabs and the Project menu can be added to the Quick Access Toolbar for convenient access. Some commands are located here by default. The default location of this toolbar is above the tabs to the left of the title bar, but it can be moved below them if required. See Quick Access Toolbar for further information.

  • Data in the Tags module is viewed and edited using a number of lists located beneath the tabs. See Create and Manage Lists and Use Lists for further information.

  • Also displayed beneath the tabs are facilities for exploring the database structure and for viewing diagrams, models and details of linked documents. See Project Breakdown Structure Explorer and View Diagrams, Models and Linked Documents for further information.

  • The Message Log and Command Window interface are displayed in windows beneath the list area of the interface. See Messages and the Message Log and Command Window for further information.

  • The Status Bar: located under the lists at the bottom of the module window, this displays status information such as the number of records selected in the current list, displays error, warning and informational messages and provides access to the Messages and the Message Log, and facilities for zooming in and out of a list and for defining default values for new records (see Zoom In and Out and Session Defaults in Create New Records).
