Launching Calculations

In order to undertake out a launching analysis, you can edit the 'Miscellaneous - Launching Calculations' node and ensure that all input data is complete and current. One launching condition can be analyzed by the program at a time. Normally a user will be well aware of building berth and launch site limitations and hence the overall design of a vessel is unlikely to be effected by the results obtained from launching calculations. However the yard may need to anticipate and consider the provision of restraints during launching, for example, drag chains, and additional internal structural supports in the bows in order to resist fore-poppet pressures when the stern begins to float.
