Figure 4:8. The Internal Surface Editor dialog - Constraints page

Each standard internal surface has four bounding constraints, these can be changed by one of 3 methods:

  1. Clicking the Required button and interactively selecting the boundary in a view.

  2. Dragging the required boundary from the tree view and dropping it on the Appropriate button.

  3. Selecting the appropriate boundary from the drop down list.

The following table shows the constraints which can be applied to each internal surface type.

The boundaries of more than one internal surface can be edited at a time, through the selection made in the list.

IDs of the current boundaries are displayed in the drop down lists, where ‘*’ means the envelope and ‘-- different --’ indicates that the selected internal surfaces have different boundaries.

The Clear button resets the boundary constraint to be the parent envelope.

See also Internal Surface Editor.

When the Apply button is clicked the selected internal surfaces will be updated with the new settings. (If for a particular boundary, -- different -- is displayed, then for each of the selected internal surfaces this boundary setting will not change.)
