Purpose

To generate compartments that can be used by AVEVA Marine Surface and Compartments.

To generate production blocks that can be used by the hull application.

Prerequisites

None.

Instructions

Pick an arrangement in the current drawing.

Option

None.

Result

If the picked arrangement is a compartment arrangement, compartments that can be used by Surface and Compartment are created. If the space names are in the form <arrangement name>_<space name>, then only the space name will be used when naming the compartments.

If the picked arrangement is a production block arrangement, then production blocks are created.

This task includes creation of databases using Admin, creating top element in each created database and finally to create the block objects. The following dialog will be displayed if a production block arrangement is picked:

The function Admin Data generates an Excel file with data that can be used by module Admin to create databases. The file shall be considered as a template for the task and it can be edited to suit the database definition that is requested. The template file will contain one database per block and a team ‘HULL’ is used as team for all the databases. The import is done by using the function Utilities>Import in the Admin module, however note that teams need to be created manually on beforehand using functions in the Admin module.

The function Top Element Data generates a PML function file that, when executed, will generate a top element in the defined databases. This file should also be considered as a template and it can be edited to fit the generated databases and the responsible teams. The template file is created assuming one database per block and the team ‘HULL’ as the responsible team.

The function Generate Blocks generates the block objects from the spaces in the arrangement. If the space names are in the form <arrangement name>_<space name>, then only the space name will be used when naming the blocks.
