Importing Data

For input from offsets the user has the choice of inputting each curve as a set of 2D coordinates or supplying the name of a data file already prepared in the required format. Alternately offsets can be input using a digitiser. The system allows tangent points and knuckle points to be defined in each curve. The sequence of inputting curves is Stem and Stern profiles, control curves (Flat of Side, Knuckles and Plines), and Section offsets. A Frame Table can also be input. The resulting hullform should be reviewed at this stage by drawing some Waterlines and Buttocks as an initial check on fairness.
