In addition to selecting Create Floor Covering on the Create Floor Covering window, the Floor Layer Definition window can be accessed by selecting Modify > Floor Layers on the Main Floor Covering Tasks window.
The Floor Layer Definition window allows the user to change the thickness and material of the Floor Covering. Multiple layers can also be added.

Floor layers of |
Shows the Floor Layer element beneath the floor covering. The list box below shows the thickness and material of the layers comprising the floor covering. |

Description |
Enter an appropriate description or accept Default layer. |

Thickness |
Enter a value for the Floor layer thickness or accept the default value. |
|
Material |
Select a material (grade of vinyl, carpet and wood) from the drop-down list. |

Material Information |

Edge Extension |
Enter a value for the edge extension. |
|
Material Width |
Enter a value for the material width. |
|
Material Length |
Enter a value for the material length. |
|
Material overlap |
Enter a value for the material overlap. |
|
Apply Changes |
Applies the floor layer definition. |
|
Create new layer |
Adds the defined layer to the Floor layers of list and resets the window allowing another layer to be defined. |

Delete layer |
Displays a Confirm message box. Selecting the YES option deletes the highlighted elements. |

Back to main Floor Covering tasks |
Displays the Main Floor Covering Tasks window. |
|
Return to main tasks |
Displays the Main Detailing Tasks window. |
