2D Construction Dialog - Camber/Sheer Tab

Used to create 2D curves which will be used in the construction of a deck.

The camber curve must be created in section view at any height but should start at the centreline and extend beyond the shell of the ship. The sheer curve must be created in buttock view at the required deck centreline height.

Create 2D curves

1. Select either Camber or Sheer from the Curve dropdown list and enter a name for the curve in the Name edit box.

2. Select the Cursor check box to digitise the curve via the cursor or select a previously created Cline from the Clines list, then click the Create button.

   Note:
   Multiple clines may be selected from the list, in which case the user may have to sort the points before fitting a spline.

   The created camber or sheer will be stored under the given name to be used in the creation of a deck (see Deck Generation Dialog).
