Compartment Categories

In AVEVA Initial Design Hydrostatics, categories are used to group compartments according to their operational function. Categories can be set up here and assigned when creating and editing compartments.

For each category, the following must be defined:

• ID - an identifier (limited to 3 characters).

• Category - a descriptive title (limited to 40 characters).

• Def.Cargo Type - used to assign a default cargo type to the category. The available cargo types are defined by the Content Types page.

• Def.Dam.Perm - a default damage permeability for the category. The damage permeability for an individual compartment can be altered via the Compartment Editor dialog.

• Max. Filling % - the maximum percentage filling permissible for this compartment category.

Click Apply to update any changes to the list of compartment categories.
