Before any manipulation can be done on control points the User should click Extract to create a copy of the spline surface control points attached to a patch element. All subsequent operations will alter only this copy of the control points. Then finally the User can apply the modified control point mesh back to the original surface. Only after applying does the new shape become visible in rendering.

Limitations: Only separate (detached) B-spline single-faced surfaces can be altered. However Control Point Meshes (CPM) of stitched surfaces can be used for reference.

Control points are selected or picked in any graphics view using SHIFT(+CONTROL)+Middle mouse button (to add to current selection). Four selection modes are provided:

Default

Picks individual control points.

Columns

Selects the entire column containing the picked control point.

Rows

Selects the entire row containing the picked control point.

Rectangle

Selects the rectangle of control points that contains the picked control point.
