This is used to specify the orientation and position of the orthogonal plane in which the new curve is to lie. If the curve type is a Section, Waterline or Buttock, the orientation will be fixed.

If the curve type is Section, Waterline or Buttock, then more than one curve of that type can be created at once by specifying a sequence or range of values.

A sequence of curves is given by space separated values, for example 1 1.5 2 3 5 10.

A range of values is given using the syntax From(Increment)To. For example 0(2)10 will create (or refit) waterlines 0 through to 10 in increments of 2.
