Choose Component Specification

  1. Every furniture, fitting and fixture item created requires a specification to be set which is achieved by selecting Select Electrical Fitting Specification on the window.

    The catalogue component selection window will be displayed so that the user can choose an appropriate item to create.

    The Choose ELFITT window displays table and type of item to create (that means, item category and item subcategory). In the example the user is selecting from an electrical fitting catalogue and is looking for a standard fitting.

    A list of acceptable items for the selected table and type are displayed in the list in the centre of the window. The user must select the item that they wish to create.

    Once selected the display window at the bottom of the window shows a graphical representation of the item that will be created so that the user can verify that the correct component has been selected.

  2. Clicking Properties displays the Modify Properties window, the user can modify attributes and view an illustration of the currently selected item.

    OK

    Applies the changes and closes the Modify Properties window.

    OK

    Returns the currently selected item to the default attributes.

    Reset

    Resets the attributes values to those specified when the Modify Properties window was opened.

    Cancel

    Discards any changes and closes the Modify Properties window.

  3. Clicking Plotfile displays the Plot window, the user can view a plotfile of the currently selected item.

  4. Clicking closes the Plot window.

  5. Once a component has been selected the user can confirm the choice by clicking Apply which closes the selection window and populates the specification section on the window with the name of the selected catalogue reference.
