Standard Brackets

Normally, type standard brackets are stored as individual brackets on the panel and as separate parts after splitting.
However, under certain circumstances brackets can be handled as standard brackets. This means that the bracket is created in one copy only and that all further occurrences of the same bracket are replaced by references to this standard bracket.
The handling of standard brackets is currently not activated for customer defined brackets.
A bracket will be handled as a standard bracket only if certain conditions are fulfilled.
The conditions are:
-
The bracket must be of a type, for which Hull Modelling has foreseen that standard variant may occur.
This is currently true for the following bracket types:
B, BK, BA, BAK, BAA, BAB, BB, BBK, BBA, BR, BBR, KL, KLK, K, KP, KPA, L
-
A standard bracket table must have been established in the data bank for the bracket type.
-
The angle between the bracket arms must be close to 90 degrees.
-
The length of the bracket arms must be equal to one of the sets of allowed values that are registered in the bracket table.
The standard bracket is identified by adding an S to the bracket designation. This is done automatically by Hull Modelling.
