Detect Welds

Indicate the node in the assembly tree for which the weld calculation shall be made. Select the function Detect Welds on the right mouse-button menu.

The weld calculation is started immediately by retrieving all parts and for each of them the circumscribed box is calculated. These boxes are used to minimize the number of part/part combinations to check. The current evaluation can at any time be interrupted by pressing Cancel in the presented progress bar.

Weld suspension is calculated either by defined weld suspension rules or by factors. The weld suspension is shown in the 3D view.

Note:
As we have not fully developed welds for pillars, we have had to block the possibility to automatic set welds between pillars and other parts. To keep the limited (and partly wrong) functionality, the environment variable SBH_AUTO_WELD_PILLAR can be set.
