Frequency of Appearance of Records

Record 1

Must appear once as the first line of the file. Thereafter may appear as often as required and can be used for comments.

Record 2

Appears once for each transverse bulkhead.

Record 3

Must appear after record 2 and appears once for each transverse bulkhead.

Record 4

Appears once for each deck.

Record 5

Must appear after record 4 and appears once for each deck.

Record 6

Appears once for each cambered deck.

Record 7

Must appear after record 6 and appear nsect times for each point on the cambered deck.

Record 8

Must appear after record 7 npts times.

Record 9

Appears once for each longitudinal bulkhead.

Record 10

Must appear after record 9 and appears nsect times for each point on the longitudinal bulkhead.

Record 11

Must appear after each record 10 npts times.

Record 12

Appears once for each compartment.

Records 13 & 14

Must appear once after each record 12 for each compartment.

Record 15

Appears once only for each merged compartment if required.

Record 16

Must appear after record 15 for each merged compartment.

Record 17

Appears once only for one or more deleted (zapped) compartment if required.

Record 18

Appears once only for each renamed compartment if required.

Record 19

Appears once only for each renamed compartment (long name) if required.

Record 20

Must appear at least once. Data after this marker is ignored.
