Assumptions

The Pipework Support Design User Guide has been written for users familiar with hanger design practices, who may or may not have prior knowledge of PDMS.

It is assumed that:

• you know where to find PDMS on your computer system

• the sample PDMS project SAM has been installed on your system with read/write access to the project databases

• you know how to use the Windows operating system installed on your site

• you are familiar with the basic Graphical User Interface (GUI) features.

• you are familiar with the main principles of managing catalogue and specifications in PDMS databases using the PARAGON and SPECON modules

• you are familiar with Design to the level of AVEVA’s Basic Training Course

• you are familiar with Draft if you intend to use Automatic Drawing Production.
