Drawing Options

You can define drawing options, ISO options and preview the drawing template, from the Pipe Spool Drawing window, select the Drawing Options tab.

The Drawing Options tab is used to set up the Drawing Departments and Registries, this must be done before drawings are produced for the first time. The selected options are saved to a file for subsequent drawings.

The Sketch Naming Options can be used to create various types of drawing.The example displays a drawing with an isometric overlay which is produced using Isodraft.

The example displays a drawing using a different type of backing sheet. Isodraft is not used to produce the drawing.

You can identify the Dept and Regi elements for the creation of the pipe spool drawing:

From the Drawing Options part of the Pipe Spool Drawing window, enter the name of the Department for creating the pipe spool drawing in the Dept. Name field. In the Regi. Name field, enter the name of the registry for creating the pipe spool drawing.

Alternatively, you can select the Using DESI Hierarchy checkbox to identify the zone and site in the Design Explorer as Dept, Regi element which will be used to create the pipe spool drawing.

From the Sketch Naming Options part of the Pipe Spool Drawing window, you can choose the naming rule file for the spool drawing. The selected naming rule file path is displayed in the Naming Rule File field.

The naming rule file can consist of:

From the ISO Options part of the Pipe Spool Drawing window, you can choose the result file path, the template registry and the drawing template for the spool drawing.

You can choose the path for the result file and associated drawing data, the selected path is displayed in the Result File Path field.

From the Template Registry drop-down list, select the template for the pipe spool drawing.

From the Drawing Template drop-down list, select the drawing template for the pipe spool drawing, which determines the format and sheet size for plotting the ISO picture.

Enter the permissible number of revisions for the spool drawing (automatic drawing revisions are stored in the Draft module to keep old drawing copies for reference purposes), the Maximum Saved Revisions default and recommended value is 1.

Enter the permissible number of Maximum Drawings per Registry. The minimum allowable value is 100 and the maximum allowable value is 1000. The default value is 1000.

Select the Run Spool Name Check on loading Spools check box to check all registries for duplicate spool drawings when the pipe spool drawing is created. A Warning message displays:

Deselect the Run Spool Name Check on loading Spools check box to ignore all duplicate spool drawings when the pipe spool drawing is created. A Warning message displays:

When you click Apply, a message window is displayed informing you that the Option file has been saved.

Click OK to close the message window.

Clicking Dismiss discards any changes made and closes the Pipe Spool Drawing window.
