Ship Data Dialog - Main Dimensions Sheet

  • Last UpdatedDec 18, 2025
  • 1 minute read

The Ship Data dialog - Main Dimensions sheet enables you to input the main dimensions of the vessel, the principal draft information that is used for design, and the vessel’s tonnage. Initially the tonnage may be the target or required value, however this sheet can be updated as and when the tonnage calculations have been undertaken. Again, this information is generally required for the typical report that Hydro is arranged to produce.

The Subdivision Length (Ls), its aft end position, Subdivision Loadline (ds) and Lightest Service Draft (d0), are parameters used principally in the Probabilistic Stability Assessment.

Note:
For the purposes of the hydrodynamics calculations, only the Length between Perpendiculars, Breadth moulded (beam) and Design Draft are used.
