The Required End Position - Method 2

The Start Position is still shown at the top of the first column.

Use Perpendicular From and Perpendicular To in the Section widow to create a section which is perpendicular to another section. Constrain the new beam’s End Direction to be perpendicular to the second column.

1. Click Perpendicular To then pick the second column.

   The derived End Position is the same as for Method 1.

2. Click Accept.

3. When the beams have been created click Dismiss to discard any information and close the Section window.

   Note: Click Dismiss in the Section window to also remove the Positioning Control toolbar and return the pick mode prompt to Navigate.
