3D Construction Dialog - Merge Tab

Create either a Pline, tangent or knuckle 3D curve by merging 2 Clines of different views.

1. Select either Pline, Knuckle or Tangent from the Curve Type dropdown list and enter a name in the Name edit box.

2. Select the required view type from the dropdown list and the first cline from the Master list.

3. Repeat to select the second cline from the Slave list and then click the Create button.

The "Master" curve is used to control the parameterization of the "Slave" curve, that means, the slave curve will take on the characteristics of the master curve. Therefore swapping the master and slave curves, can produce a slightly different 3D curve.
