Changes to diagrams between sessions are displayed in the Diagram Change Highlighting window:

The upper pane of the window displays each sheet of the diagram on a separate tab, on which diagram name and sheet name is displayed.

Each tab is divided into left and right sections. The left section displays the sheet as it was at the selected target session. The right section displays the sheet as it was at the selected base session.
The diagrams can be zoomed into and changes highlighted using toolbar buttons as described below.

Use the up, down and sideways arrow keys and the mouse wheel to move around a diagram.
If the window was opened using the Highlight Changes > Latest option the target session will be the current session and the base session will be the previous session.
Details of the target and base sessions are displayed at the bottom of each pane.
The lower pane lists the changes on the currently selected sheet.

Toolbar Options

It consists of the following buttons:

Start New Comparison - opens the Select Diagram and Sessions to Compare window so that a new session comparison can be made. Refer to for further information. |

Re-Compare Selected Sessions - performs a re-comparison of the current diagram and sessions so that changes made since the comparison was made will be highlighted and changes made to attribute and colour settings (see below) are implemented. |

Print Diagram - used to print the diagram. Refer to for further information. |

|
Highlight New Elements - used to highlight new elements on the diagram in the selected highlight colour for new elements. Refer to for further information. |
|
|
|
Highlight Deleted Elements - used to highlight deleted elements on the diagram in the selected highlight colour for deleted elements. Refer to for further information |

Highlight Modified Elements - used to highlight modified elements on the diagram in the selected highlight colour for modified elements. Refer to for further information |

Zoom to Fit - zooms out so that the entire diagram is visible. |

Auto Zoom on Selection - toggles the mode for auto-zoom. When this option is toggled on, selecting an element in the Schematic Explorer or from the list of changes grid in the lower pane will zoom the diagram to display that element and highlight it. For example:

Attribute Configuration Options - used to specify which set of attribute settings are to be used when performing a comparison. User Settings are specific to each individual user. Project Settings are the same for each project user. The Default Settings for the application may also be selected. User and Project Settings are defined using the Attribute Configuration option (see below). |

Attribute Configuration - used to specify which attributes are to be considered when comparing changes to diagrams, that means, changes to specific attributes may be ignored if required. Refer to for further information. |

|
Highlight Colour Configuration - used to set the colour used to highlight new, deleted and modified elements. Refer to for further information |

Print Diagram
When the Print Diagram toolbar button is clicked, the Choose Diagram to Print window is then displayed:

Select whether to print the target session diagram, base session diagram or both, then click OK.
A standard Print window is then displayed from where printing can be initiated in the normal way.

Attribute Configuration
The element attributes that are considered when comparing diagrams in different sessions and highlighting changes can be specified by the user.
When the Attribute Configuration toolbar button is clicked, the Attribute Configuration window is displayed:

From the Element Type drop-down, select the element type for which attribute settings are to be made:

The attributes of the selected element type are then displayed in the grid below.
Check or uncheck the adjacent checkboxes to include/exclude attributes in the session comparison. Click Include All to check all the checkboxes. Click Exclude All to uncheck all the checkboxes.
Repeat this procedure as required for other element types.
The settings can be saved as either user preferences or project preferences. Click either Save As User Preference or Save As Project Preference as required.
Click OK the save the settings and exit the window.
The Attribute Configuration Options drop-down in the toolbar will then automatically change to the selected preference option (that means, user or project). Click the Re-Compare Selected Sessions toolbar button to re-run the current comparison using the specified attribute settings.
Highlight Colour Configuration
To change the colours used to highlight changes between sessions, click the Highlight Colour Configuration toolbar button. The Highlight Colour Configuration window is then displayed:

The window lists each category of highlighted change and the colour used to indicate it.
To change a highlight colour for a category of change, click on the its row. The Colour Selector window is then displayed:

Click on the required colour. The selected colour is displayed in the bottom-left of the window.
If more colours are required to choose from, click More. Additional colours are then presented for selection:

After the required colour has been selected, click Dismiss to close the Colour Selector window. The selected colour will then be displayed in Highlight Colour Configuration window alongside the category of change.
Click OK to save the settings and exit the window. Click the Re-Compare Selected Sessions toolbar button to re-run the current comparison using the new colour settings.
