Notification Workflow Overview

AVEVA ERM-Design Integration uses a notification mechanism that helps to improve the transfer of data between AVEVA Marine and AVEVA ERM. Notification Service of AVEVA Integration Service is used to send and receive notifications.

When the sending system publishes a change, an ‘Update’ notification is sent to the receiver system using the notification mechanism. The receiver system can process this notification by fetching the corresponding data and importing it. If data is successfully imported, an ‘Acknowledgement’ notification is sent back to the sending system. In the case of an error during import, an ‘Error’ notification is sent. Both ‘Acknowledgement’ and ‘Error’ notifications contain information about the data in such way that the sending system can also update the published status of the data. In this way, data already transferred will not be sent again until it is changed and re-published.
