Basic Principles

The assembly (HANDRA) is not copied to design instance as a whole, each handrail member (HRPOST, RAIL, KICKPL, HRTERM, HRPANE) is created as a copy of the item from the assembly. The reference from the design instance of handrail to the assembly template is established via attribute ASSTMP. Each handrail member has the same reference to the item it has been copied from.

All members can have XOFFset value set. If the value is positive it is assumed that the offset will be made away from the imaginary shape formed by handrail boundary/path (for example, edge mounted post).

If the value is negative then the offset is made inside (for example, floor mounted post). If the imaginary shape is anti-clockwise the offset value is shifted (multiplied by -1) by the application in order to keep the actual offset.

Positive offset (edge mounted post)

Negative offset (floor mounted post)
