Selecting the Regulations - Tonnage Measurement icon and the command Edit in the sub- menu that then appears, opens the Tonnage dialog.
Tonnage Dialog
You should enter a Title for the tonnage calculation run, and then from the list of compartments, select (using the check boxes) which are to be Enclosed and which are to be Cargo. Note that at least one compartment must be selected as enclosed for the analysis to run.
The lower section of the spreadsheet is for you to define those compartments, such as the superstructure and/or deckhouses, which were not defined in the input geometry file but must be included in the Tonnage calculations. For each extra compartment item to be included, enter a Name, the Volume (units: meters cubed or feet cubed) which is used by Calc for the tonnage calculations, and the overall Length, Breadth and Height dimensions (units: meters or feet) of the compartment and which are simply for information purposes. Finally you must specify, in the Type column, whether the defined item is Cargo or Enclosed. (Clearly you will need to extract this information from the vessel’s general arrangement drawings.)
