DEFINE SPLIT

Purpose

Defines the curve which was used to split a design into two.

Syntax

DEFINE (SPLIT ) (  < TANGENT > $W)
               ( /OFF          )
               ( /SHOW         )

Description

When a design is split into two halves, the curve at which the design is split is recorded in the two halves. This curve is used to obtain derivative control information for FOS and FOB regions when interpolating waterlines and buttocks. This command can be used to override the automatic settings and select a different tangent curve, or switch off the functionality

Command Qualifiers

/OFF

If given, the system will no longer use the split curve to obtain derivative control information for waterline and buttocks.

/SHOW

Print the name of the split curve to the output window.
