Assembly Planning provides the ability to manage the production breakdown structure of the 3D model, supports the definition of the vessel build strategy and the creation of assembly production information. The production breakdown structure is defined and maintained in parallel with the design and modelling work.
With Assembly Planning the design model is transformed into a production model. The complete production breakdown structure includes the production hierarchy for the hull, installation of equipment, machinery, electric and outfit steel. An assembly could be a physical steel unit (including outfit installation), but could also correspond to a space such as a compartment or a room, and thereby include all the prefabricated units, material and components to be installed into this space.
Once an Assembly is available you can automatically generate the Assembly deliverables, using either the interactive Assembly Automatic Drawing Production (Assembly ADP) application or via a separate batch program. The following Assembly deliverables are available;
