Design Referring to the Hull Model

Design can choose to work with any of the three model views (Reference Surfaces, Design Panels or Production Panels). The associations in the database are always made to the most stable element (stable meaning unlikely to change), which will be the Reference Surface if this exists, then the Design Panel and lastly the Production Panel.
