Creating Gunwhales

A gunwhale is created from within Gunwhale page on the Deck Generation dialog, accessed by the icon.

The Gunwhale radius is set in the Radius panel. The Aft-X and Fwd-X edit boxes specify the aft and forward limits of the gunwhale respectively. The gunwhale can be made to fade in and out by selecting the appropriate check boxes, Fade In and Fade Out, and entering the relevant positions in the edit boxes.

In addition, when using a fading gunwhale, the user may opt to have a Constant or Varying radius over the fading regions by setting the Appropriate Radio button.

To use a Gunwhale, set the On/Off toggle and click the OK button. When this toggle is set, every deck created subsequently will contain this gunwhale.
