Freeboard Data Dialog - Superstructure Sheet

A superstructure correction is applied to the freeboard obtained from the standard tables. Superstructure will also have an influence on the correction for sheer, and, in the case of the forecastle, on the checks for bow height and reserve buoyancy forward.

A superstructure unit is added or deleted using the Appropriate buttons under the superstructure data entry grid. Clicking the Edit Bulkheads button will display a dialog for editing the superstructure end bulkheads and other data. This allows you to specify insets or recesses,

The bulkhead type is selected from the drop down box in the grid. If Undefined is selected, the program will attempt to determine the type from the position of the end bulkheads. However, the program cannot recognize, for example, whether it a raised quarterdeck or trunk, so these types must be specified explicitly by you.

The height and breadth are the mean values. If there are different values for the different ends, then these must be given on the Edit Bulkheads dialog.
