A bay definition is simply a number of tiers and rows of containers, located at a certain position. Therefore, to create a bay definition, you simply has to supply an x-location, a z-location, a valid container type, the number of tiers and, for each tier, the number of rows.
This can be done using a single syntax command, for example,
BAY "newbay" CREATE CONTAINER "20'_ISO_TYPE_2" 100.0 2.0 5 4 6 8 10 10
This will create a bay called "newbay", at x=100, z = 2.0, based on container "20'_ISO_TYPE_2" with 5 tiers containing 4, 6, 8, 10 and 10 containers respectively.
Alternatively, the Bay Definition Editor may be used.
Set the following information…

Figure 3:8. Bay Definition Editor - Basic Page.
and click the Apply button.
This will create a bay definition with 5 tiers and 10 rows. To modify the number of containers on each tier, we must select Edit. The Container Positions page becomes available. So, on this page, use the N rows drop-lists to select 4, 6, and 8 containers on tiers "2", "4" and "6" respectively.

You should be able to see the bay within the Container tree view and within any open graphics views.
