Copying Global Projects

  • Last UpdatedNov 27, 2025

Global projects may be copied. Facilities are provided to:

  • replicate the complete Global project, including all data (except the ISO subdirectories), to a new project

  • replicate the structure of a Global project to file

  • This is achieved using the REPLICATE command.

  • For full details of the REPLICATE command, see the Administrator Command Reference Manual.

    Note: It is very important to make sure that the replicated project has a different project UUID to the original project, otherwise the Daemon will not run correctly.

The UUID for the project is stored in the ADUUID attribute of /*GL.

If this is unset or has not been changed use the NEWUID attribute:

/*GL

!NEW=NEWUID

ADUUID ‘$!NEW’
