A MODEL VIEW is by definition a picture derived from the 3D model. It can contain all kinds of model parts previously created in the various modelling systems. In Planar Hull Modelling two kind of views exist, the Planar Hull Modelling view and the Drafting view. They differ in the way hull parts are presented but the information is arranged in the same hierarchical structure.

All model views contain transformation information making it possible to update them with new or changed model objects.
